Kawagama Location

Located on Marina Bay on the southwest arm of Kawagama Lake, Old Mill Marina was established in 1955 as a launching point for cottagers. Still a landing and destination point today, over 100 cottages rely on Old Mill Marina as a safe port to slip their boats every summer.

In addition to the extensive covered and open slips, Old Mill's Kawagama location is a full service operation offering Boat Sales, Service, Storage, General Store, Premium Fuel and the mandatory Kawartha Dairy Scoop Ice Cream counter. Under the guidance of Rob and Jennifer Walisser, the property has become an example of sustainable development within the Ontario marine industry. In 2014, Old Mill was a proud recipient of the Robert Eaton Environmental Award for excellence in environmental practices.

In 2010, a new state of the art storage building was added to the existing structures. This new building houses over 150 boats indoors and is the region's only secure, sealed, insulated, and climate controlled facility. It was designed with an eye on creating a new opportunity for customers to store their boats with a peace of mind not found elsewhere in the industry. The summer of 2012 brought a new service and store facility to Old Mill Marina. The industry leading service shop is a 4 bay drive through facility capable of repairing four 25' boats within its walls. The 14' high 24' wide doors on either end allow for a truck and trailer to stay connected while the boat is serviced inside during the winter months, making it one of the few true year round service facilities in Haliburton and Muskoka. The new store and showroom are a great facility for Kawagama cottagers all summer. In 2015, after a growing response to the existing indoor storage, a second indoor storage building was erected. This building was also equipped with a heating system, allowing us to offer heated indoor storage. Together, the two buildings have a footprint of over 30,000 sq ft and house over 300 boats.
